The process is designed to be the most effective incineration of the waste, a powerful clean waste gas purification system, and the recovery of valuable materials from the residual materials. The WtE Process Step-by-Step

The WtE plant receives the municipal solid waste and stores it in a bunker. A crane thoroughly mixes and feeds the waste into the feed hopper, and then onto the grate by a ram feeder. A fully integrated control system ensures stable and efficient operation and optimizes the fire position on the grate.

The energy released is used to produce superheated steam, which a turbine generator expands to produce electricity. The gases released from the waste are mixed with secondary air and recirculated flue gases above the grate to increase the WtE process energy efficiency. Moreover, the complete combustion is to have the lowest CO, NOx, and VOC emissions.

Flue gases are then cleaned to the strictest emission standards through an advanced air pollution control system, and are continuously monitored before being released at the stack. The combustion bottom byproduct, the inert ash that remains, falls into the bottom ash extractor, from where it can be taken to a dedicated area for metals recovery and further use.

This entire process demonstrates how a modern waste-to-energy plant can be a reliable energy source for local communities.
